Spring cleaning

Been a while since I've been here!
I'll be doing some tidying up and submissions over the next few days, and a lot of catching up on all of your submissions too!
Think I've settled in enough to make some time for DA again.

New grass, new roots

Sadly, I'm no longer a student of Cambridge. The course was far too difficult for me, and I was very unprepared for the workload I received. I spent a lot of time attempting to study the material and understand things, but I couldn't cope with it and had many problems during the length of the year, both academically and health-wise. The exams I sat were not nice, I knew I was in big trouble after the first one.
So over the summer, I've managed to successfully apply for a place at Birmingham. Same course (Computer Science), but a lot closer to home. (Only an hour's train ride compared to three!) And I live in a lovely area that's close to the Chinese quarter, yummy food and snacks, haha! I'm a bit worried because I live in accommodation that's meant for Birmingham City students... Not that there's anything wrong with BCU students, but the fact is that I live a little bit further than most freshers of my uni. It's hard for a person like me to get out there and socialise... >w<
I was lucky to be able to secure a place so late in the year. Well, I'm determined to have a successful uni year for the first time, and I don't want to ruin this opportunity I have.

Finally, a holiday abroad!

I will be on holiday for three weeks starting tomorrow. I won't be able to make anything or post anything (of course) for the entire time as I'll be away from my workspace too.
Hong Kong is a lovely place though, I hope to get more pretty origami paper and other quirky materials, as well as awesome merchandise! *w*

Third and final term this year

I have just finished unpacking all of my stuff. I have seven weeks to get through in this term. That's four weeks of lectures, one week of whatever you want (revision would be best) and then two weeks for exams. There is actually an eighth week, the May Ball week, but I'm not too sure I'll be attending any of them this year.
I'm still recovering a bit from a nasty stomach bug that I had from a week ago. Even now I still get tired easily and my appetite is still not there.
Taking all of the above into account, I might be that active in terms of uploading work. I'm on every day though to check for notifications, so I guess it's not all that bad.
Hope you guys are all having fun. It's finally lovely and sunny in the UK, so I'll try to enjoy the outside more. XD

End of the second term!

On Sunday, I was on my way home at 9AM in the morning, and by 6PM I had arrived back home and completely unpacked everything. It's Monday now, and I've settled quickly back into the old life. I have to remember that this term, I have to prioritise work!
So I was thinking, how often would I be able to continue crafting without it getting too in the way of everything else? Of course the answer is, "None, just do your work!" but I find it impossible to just work all the time. Maybe once a week? I'm off for five weeks now, and exams loom ever closer. What a pain. ._.
On a related note, the day before I left, I uploaded my latest tutorial for my 3D origami moogle. Have you seen it yet?
